In the 1950s which were the years the industrialization has just started to develop in Turkey, Vehbi Koç the founder of the Koç Holding, was in search of a product that would provide foreign currency to Turkey. Under the conditions of Turkey in those years, he has made an association with a factory named Bejerano to make investment in sauce and canning factory because Bejerano was experienced in this sector. As a result of this partnership, a company was founded in 1954; named Beko and was registered with the first two letters of Bejerano and Koç.
