GURT Resource Centre is a national leading information and support centre that provides a range of quality services to strengthen civil society organizations of all types and sizes. Since we were established in 1995, we have been committed to a better Ukraine through an emerging civil society. Providing unique combination of services to Ukrainian CSOs, local government, business and media we seek to show all Ukrainians how NGOs propose answers to different social and societal problems in the country. At the same time we help to guide NGOs so they can best serve their communities.

GURT’s mission was reviewed in December 2003 by joint efforts of all GURT’s members and currently it is formulated in four main statements:

· We work to stimulate active citizens’ participation in community life.

· We provide professional information, training and organizational support to civic associations and charitable organizations, local governments, business entities and mass media.

· We create opportunities for self-realization of every individual as social responsible citizen in the society

· We value creativity and initiative. Our work is based on the principles of good governance, non-partisanship, transparency and effective partnership.
